Oud Amelisweerd Country House, with its Coach House and park, is one of the most remarkable national monuments in the Netherlands and is located just a stone's throw from Utrecht. It is known for its unique hand-painted Chinese paper wallpaper from the 18th century. Today, you can admire exhibitions and enjoy fun activities there. There is also a Forest Library in the attic with a collection of children's books (ages 2-10) about nature, the forest, and animals.

The estate is characterized by its variety and beautiful vistas. There are various walks and hospitality venues in the area, such as the adjacent restaurant De Veldkeuken (organic) and pancake house Theehuis Rhijnauwen. Also pay a visit to Market Garden Amelishof, cuddle with the goats at De Zonnewijzer farm, or stay a night at the Stayokay.
