Day trip to London with Slangen Reizen

London is the beautiful capital of the United Kingdom and is worth a visit for this reason alone. The distinctive black taxis, world-famous double-decker buses, red telephone boxes along the streets and cosy English pubs are typical of London and create the atmosphere of this global city. This magnificent city offers extensive shopping opportunities and has more than 30,000 shops where shopping enthusiasts can indulge themselves. London’s finest shopping streets are Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street. Also, be sure to visit Harrods, London’s most impressive department store.

In addition to countless shopping opportunities, the city has several lovely neighbourhoods, historic landmarks and beautiful parks. Visit Big Ben, take a walk across Tower Bridge and see London’s most beautiful church: Westminster Abbey. Sample the most delicious treats at Borough Market, London’s oldest and most famous street food market.  Another impressive must-see in the city is Buckingham Palace and its changing of the guard. Piccadilly Circus, also known as London’s Times Square, is also fun to see. This famous square is always bustling, with huge neon-lit advertising signs everywhere.

Programme

Your journey to London will begin on the evening/night before your booked arrival date. You will depart for Calais or Dunkirk, after which you will arrive in England via the Eurotunnel or by ferry. Once in England, you will travel to the city of London by luxury coach.

Upon arrival in the city, you will start with a short city tour past several famous landmarks. You will pass, among other sights, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square (the planned city tour is subject to change due to driving and rest-time regulations). After the city tour, the driver will drop you off at Victoria Embankment. Your free time starts here (at least 9 hours), allowing you to explore London at your leisure. You also have the option to take a boat trip on the beautiful River Thames. This boat trip can be added as an optional extra. In the evening, you will begin your return journey and return to your booked departure point in the early morning.
