The museum is located in the oldest and largest museum port in the Netherlands, where you can experience on historic ships and cranes how the world port of Rotterdam began at this location. You will find our new workshops along the quay. Here you will discover the secret of maritime crafts and shipbuilding. At the museum café 'Het Lage Licht' you can enjoy lunch, a cup of coffee or a drink with a view of the harbour. And of course you can end your day with freshly scooped ice cream or a warm waffle at Loeve.

The Maritime Museum is located at the intersection of Blaak-Coolsingel in the city centre of Rotterdam. The museum is easily accessible and is within walking distance of the Erasmus Bridge, CS and Markthal. Interessant museum, het is leuk met kinderen naar professor Plons te gaan. Voor volwassenen zijn de schilderijen interessant. In de museumhaven liggen mooie schepen om te bezoeken.

It was our first visit to Maritime Museum. It was a family trip and we absolutely enjoyed it. The best part was the offshore experience. The kids loved it. We also did the outdoor activity including canal boat ride. turned out to be a great day trip!
