In 2024, Lee Towers symbolically handed over the key to Ahoy to our national folk singer Frans Bauer. That key is coming in handy now, as the king of Ahoy returns to Rotterdam's sports arena. No artist has sold out Ahoy more often than Frans: 53 times, an absolute record.

Frans is celebrating his artistic anniversary, “40 years, together with you”, and is pulling out all the stops. Not with gifts, but figuratively speaking: he is once again transforming the sports arena into a magnificent party venue. On 9 and 10 April 2027, he will celebrate his 40th anniversary with two major shows at Rotterdam Ahoy.

Bauer will sing his very biggest hits, while also searching for the forgotten gems from his career and stringing them together like a sparkling necklace. “Heb je even voor mij” is certainly not to be missed: this quintessentially Dutch evergreen will celebrate its own milestone as a 25-year hit.

And of course, there will be special guests too. Frans will bring some remarkable friends to the stage, but he is keeping their identities under wraps for now: in the lead-up to the shows, the guests will be revealed one by one. Supported by a live orchestra and dozens of show dancers, this edition also promises to be a spectacle of gigantic proportions.
