Sailing trip on De Stedemaeght, including coffee/tea + lunch + snacks

Sailing on one of the most beautiful sailing ships in the Netherlands: De Stedemaeght. This bark, with its three imposing masts, impressive sail area, and magnificent rigging, makes sailing on the IJsselmeer an unforgettable experience. From Bataviahaven Lelystad, you will sail on a day trip across the IJsselmeer to Hoorn, an atmospheric port city with maritime charm. You can board at Bataviahaven in Lelystad from 9:30 AM. Coffee will be ready, and the crew will give you a warm welcome. At 10:00 AM, you will depart for Hoorn. The sails will be hoisted, and you will experience real sailing on the IJsselmeer.

Walking tour in Hoorn

Before docking, enjoy an extensive lunch buffet on board. Afterwards, you have approximately 1.5 hours of free time to explore Hoorn on your own. Stroll along the harbor, admire historic warehouses and monumental buildings, or take a seat on one of the terraces in the city center.

In the afternoon, you return to Lelystad. A selection of savory snacks is served on board. Weather permitting, enthusiasts can help hoist the sails and actively participate in the sailing. Between approximately 17:30 and 18:00, the Stedemaeght moors back in the Bataviahaven. With a farewell to the crew, a relaxed day of sailing on the IJsselmeer comes to an end.
