Experience the Zaanstreek from an open boat and discover the highlights of this historic region. Sail past 10 UNESCO windmills while the skipper tells you all about their significance and the history of the Zaanstreek. Admire the traditional Zaanse houses in their unique green color, only visible from the water. You will also sail past the world's largest chocolate factories, where you can smell the aroma of chocolate and perhaps even spot the famous 'Chocolate Boats'. The boarding point is the main jetty at the Zaanse Mills. Once you enter the Zaanse Molengebied, you can't really miss it. There are several ways to get to the Zaanse Molens: by train, bus, car or bike. Consult Google Maps for the exact route from your starting point and for the current departure and travel times.
