In the southernmost point of the Netherlands lies one of the most beautiful zoos in Europe: GaiaZOO. Experience with all your senses how special our planet is. The vast landscape, in the middle of a beautiful wooded and hilly area in South Limburg, will undoubtedly amaze you. You will make a complete trip around the world in one day and come face to face with the world's most beautiful animals such as rhinoceroses, giraffes, gorillas and flamingos. In 2018, 2020 and in 2023, GaiaZOO was voted ANWB's Best Day Out in the Netherlands!

At the entrance you enter the park through the beautiful, new entrance building and admire the beautiful surroundings from a great height from the new, 17-meter-high Gaia Tower. The footpath then takes you from the entrance of the zoo to the four different habitats in GaiaZOO. First, the Far North of the Taiga awaits you. Animals that love the winter cold live here, such as the impressive vultures, playful wolverines and woolly red pandas. But the lynxes also keep a close eye on you here. Then you reach Limburg, where the otter lives and in and around limburgHUIS you can get to know special Limburg animal species such as fire salamanders, dormice and the endangered corn wolf. In the park restaurant Acacia you can feel the southern hospitality from miles away while enjoying a delicious cappuccino, coffee or hot chocolate milk together with a nice piece of real Limburg pie.

Travel further to Savanna in Africa to visit the white rhinos, the African lions and the giraffes and learn more about the vulnerable position of their relatives in the wild. The unique Flamingo|Volière, where a large group of flamingos live together with various other special African birds, is definitely worth a visit. Toast to the good life with a good glass of African wine from the atmospheric SavannaLodge.

Continue your way towards Rainforest, where you will encounter gorillas and bat-eared foxes from Central Africa. Experience the magic of South America in the Argentine Pampas region, where vicuñas, tapirs and rheas live together in one large enclosure. Can you spot the spider monkeys and the yellow-breasted capuchin monkeys between the treetops of the Amazon rainforest from the roof terrace? Relax at the PampaLodge and enjoy various delicacies such as delicious pizzas, while the kids discover the TreeTopTour: the newest climbing and scrambling path. The smallest visitors will certainly not be bored during a visit to GaiaZOO. Each area has its own play area with exciting rope bridges and high towers where kids can enjoy themselves for hours. The icing on the cake is the indoor DinoDome: the largest indoor dinosaur playground in Europe. And don't forget to visit the brand new GaiaSHOP at the exit, where you can buy the most beautiful gifts and souvenirs.

Parking tickets must be purchased online in advance for €8.50 and are therefore not available at the ticket office. Ten parking spaces with charging stations are available on site.
