In the Waterlab, young researchers can get to work on surprising experiments themselves during weekends and school holidays, supervised by enthusiastic volunteers. And for those who like to track, there are challenging treasure hunts available that send you on a journey both inside and outside the museum. Discover, learn and experience water like you've never done before.
New summer exhibition at the Dutch Water Museum
This summer, immerse yourself in the world of water heroes at the Dutch Water Museum. Discover the professions of storm surge diverters, drought fighters, samplers and sewer managers. Who makes sure your feet stay dry? Who turns polluted water into clean drinking water? And who comes up with smart solutions to flooding? Step into the shoes of a water hero and experience what it's like to tame, protect and utilise water. Put on a lab coat, build a dike or examine a water sample: in this interactive exhibition you will experience for yourself how challenging and indispensable working with water is.
Whether you come to play, learn or get inspired: in Water Heroes you step into the world of real water professionals and discover how you can become one yourself! Through playful, educational displays, visitors of all ages experience how important water professions are for our future. The exhibition combines play, experience and awareness - and shows that you too can make a difference.
