The cosiness and fairytale atmosphere of Christmas: from 4 to 6 December, Christmas Fair Vorden will once again take place in and around Kasteel Vorden. Thousands of lights, gleaming garlands, decorated Christmas trees and Fairy Bells, sparkling baubles and, of course, delicious warming winter treats such as mulled wine, hot chocolate and freshly baked waffles… all the ingredients are there to find inspiration and shop for the last gifts and decorations. A visit to Christmas Fair Vorden marks the start of your Christmas!

HO HO HO!! Get into the festive Christmas spirit at the atmospheric Christmas fair, Christmas Fair Vorden. The castle's beautiful winter surroundings promise plenty of wonderful sights. Over 100 exhibitors will showcase the very best they have to offer in luxurious pagoda tents. Visitors can be inspired and enjoy some wonderful shopping. From culinary delights such as homemade dishes and carefully selected wines to atmospheric antique, vintage and trendy home and garden decorations, art displays and warm, festive winter fashion.

Don't miss the Castle either!  

Kasteel Vorden was first mentioned in a deed of sale from 1315, in which Steven van Vorden gifted the castle and outbuildings to his uncle, Dirk van Vorden. The history of Kasteel Vorden begins with this family. The Castle is situated in a characteristically beautiful wooded and meadow landscape of the Achterhoek region. What makes Kasteel Vorden unique is that its current owners, Karin de Rouw and Jos Hoenen, have opened it to the public: during Christmas Fair Vorden, you can explore the inside of the castle, which is fully decorated in a traditional Christmas style for the occasion, complete with Christmas decorations, ornaments and lavishly dressed dining tables.

Leave your heels at home and put on your boots! Prepare for a cosy and atmospheric outdoor event. Stroll through the Christmas fair and wander around the castle's inner and outer courtyard. The fair takes place partly on paved ground and also on the surrounding meadow, and includes a lovely short illuminated walk through the woods. When darkness falls, thousands of lights will transport you into a fairytale world! On Friday and Saturday, we are therefore open extra late until 20:00.
